Who we are
Italian Stories is a non-profit cultural association dedicated to exploring the history of Italy through documentary film.
We started out wanting to tell stories about Italian history. Over time, we found ourselves asking a different question: How did the people who shaped that history look back on their own lives?
We are based in France, with supporters principally in the UK and Italy. We film on location, work closely with historians, and make our films freely available through festivals and cultural events. Italian Stories is run by a small Executive Committee.
