What is the Risorgimento?

The Risorgimento is the name given to the movement which lead to Italy becoming the single country we know today. We explore the phenomenon by visiting the National Risorgimento Museum in Turin.

The Nelson family and the English graveyard

For those of you who have watched our documentary about Nelson and Emma you will recall that it ended with the tale of the sad demise of Emma herself. We chose not to explore the decline and disappearance of the Nelson family in Bronte. But once filming was complete and Paul had returned home, I chose to remain on for a couple of days to follow up on a story I had heard about their last years in residence on Sicily.

Florence Film Festival

This year one of our films, the Motya Youth, has been selected to be part of the Firenze Archeo film Festival. 2024 was the 6th edition of the festival which is organized by the publishers Giunti. The festival ran from 6th to 10th March and took place in the Cinema La Compagnia in the center of the city.
